😎 Hi! I’m Rita Tycho from ‘Go with a Glo’. I’m a certified airbrush and spray technician trained by Aviva Labs, which started as

a spinoff from a successful biotech company now focused on health. Our innovative formula never compromises healthy skin, using

How does it work? Spray tanning involves applying a solution with the active ingredient DHA (Dihydroxyacetone),

which reacts with the amino acids in the skin’s outer layer.

This reaction changes the skin’s color, creating a gorgeous, natural tan.

Located near the historic Skippack Village, the studio offers a serene setting for private appointments,

ensuring no other clients are scheduled at the same time unless arriving together.

Convenient parking is available in the long driveway. For first-time clients, the spray process takes about

30 minutes, including completing an intake form, while regular sessions typically last 15 minutes.

Enjoy the convenience of a mobile spray tan in the comfort of your home, as long as there’s space

for a 6ft pop-up spray tent and access to an outlet with good lighting.

Pre-Care

Ideally want to get your spray tan two days before any big event. It will take about 24 hours for your spray tan to fully dry, so avoid wearing any important outfits. Free sample color is offered if unsure of reaction or color.

➡️ Exfoliate and shave the day before -

Exfoliating helps remove dead skin cells, revealing the fresh skin underneath. Pay extra attention to drier areas. This new skin is primed to absorb the spray tan solution evenly and deeply, giving you a smoother, longer-lasting tan. If shaving, avoid creams with mineral oil or added moisturizers, as they can create a barrier that prevents proper absorption and leads to uneven results. Avoid showering for 6 hours before your appointment.

➡️ Mature Skin -

Mature and sun-damaged skin can often be drier and result in uneven absorption. Follow proper pre-care and set time for first rinse. "Orange" tones are usually caused by too much DHA percentage, over-spraying and sometimes even poor prep because of an interaction with the product residue, improper exfoliation, etc. If noticeably dry, moisturize more leading up to your spray appointment.

➡️ Day of spray tanning -

Avoid using lotions, oils, deodorant, perfumes, or makeup, as they can form a barrier on your skin that might prevent the tan from sticking properly.

➡️ Wear loose-fitting and dark-colored garments

Wearing tight clothes can cause tan lines, and the DHA in spray tan solution might rub off on your outfit. This can not only stain your clothes but also remove parts of your tan, causing streaks and patches. Avoid wearing socks or tight shoes while your tan sets, as they can leave visible impressions.

After-Care

➡️ No Sweating -

When leaving the studio, try to minimize sweating during the setting period. If your car has leather or cloth seats, place a dark towel on the seat to prevent your tan from rubbing off on the back of your legs.

➡️ Seatbelt, Bra Straps, Bag -

During the setting process, steer clear of tight or restrictive clothing. If you can, skip putting your bra back on and avoid carrying bags to keep the tan on your shoulders intact. When driving, try loosening your seatbelt for extra comfort.

➡️ No Dog/Cat Licks -

Some pets may be attracted to the scent of the solution or setting powder and attempt to lick your skin.

➡️ Wait 8-12 hrs before first rinse-off for 'Original' colors. 'Express' can be rinsed from 1-4 hrs. -

For your first rinse, use warm water and let it run clear. Gently pat dry with a towel, avoiding rubbing or scratching to prevent removing your tan. Skip washing your hair during this rinse to avoid streaks from soap running down your skin. When it’s time to soap up and wash your hair, choose products without mineral oil or sodium laureth sulfate, as these can shorten the life of a sunless tan. Many drugstore soaps, like Dove, and most bar soaps leave an invisible film that blocks proper tan absorption, leading to a streaky or discolored look. Dove can also make your tan fade faster and even turn brassy by altering your skin’s pH.

No-No list soaps: Dove, Bath & Body Works, Victoria’s Secret, Oil of Olay, Jergen's, Vaseline Intensive

Care, Curell, most bar soaps, any deodorant that is not all-natural, and acne body washes.

- Avoid shaving cream when shaving up to 2 days. It can cause a barrier for the spray tan.

- Please do not pee in the shower when you have a Spray Tan, the ammonia in the urine will cause your

tan to streak.

➡️ Moisturize daily -

One of the key reasons your sunless tan may have faded faster than expected is lack of proper moisturizing. While many people already moisturize daily as part of their skincare routine, keeping your skin hydrated when you have a tan is crucial to maintaining that glow longer. Very dry skin can affect how it absorbs the self-tanner’s color and lead to an uneven tan.

➡️ Powder as needed

For strenuous workouts that lead to sweating, or in hot and humid conditions, it’s a good idea to apply powder beforehand to absorb sweat and reduce friction in areas like under sports bras or inside socks. Always pat your skin dry with a towel instead of rubbing, and keep in mind that sweating can cause a tan to fade faster.
